Despite the average UK woman being a size 16, many brands have neglected ‘larger’ sizes  and instead focus their product ranges on those between sizes 6-10. However, there are some retailers who understand that curvier women still enjoy experimenting with their style and investing in trend-led pieces. There’s a few familiar names below (think ASOS, Boohoo and Forever21) but also some lesser known brands that have been spotted on the likes of Hayley Hasselhoff and Ashley Graham.

ASOS Curve

ASOS have dominated the online fashion landscape for years now and in 2010, they launched ASOS Curve to cater to plus-size shoppers. Many of our curvy friends have cited ASOS as their first port of call whenever they want to update their wardrobes thanks to their trend-led pieces and range of sizing – many items are available up to a UK size 30.

Elvi

Elvi

From sizes 8 to 28, Elvi have established a reputation for creating beautifully made and on trend clothing that caters to women of all sizes. They’re well aware that most curvier women don’t want to spend 24/7 in head-to-toe black, with their designs available in a range of colours, prints and cuts. Hayley Hasselhoff is a fan – the plus-size model collaborated with Elvi on a chic capsule collection!

Violeta by Mango

Mango’s plus-size range ‘Violeta’ may come as a surprise to some who didn’t realise it even existed, but it should definitely be on your fashion radar! It’s made up of the same casually cool pieces that have made the Spanish retailer’s main collection such a success, whilst going up to a size 22.

Fast-fashion retailer, In The Style, have collaborated with the likes of Sarah Ashcroft, Binky (of Made in Chelsea fame) and Pia Mia but they’ve not forgotten their plus-size gals. In The Style Curve has been specifically made to flatter size 14-28 figures and covers everything from bodysuits to dresses to swimwear.

Simply Be

Simply Be is chockfull of different brands and products, with many going up to a size 36 – making the retailer one of the most inclusive in the industry. Alongside their own branded pieces, they also stock labels such as Monsoon, AX Paris Curve, Navabi and Lovedrobe (more on the latter two further down!).

boohoo

Boohoo Curve

Boohoo Curve goes upto a size 24 so it’s not the most diverse plus-size range on the market but they’ve got a strong product offering. Their curve clothing doesn’t differ too much from their main line, but remains at an affordable price – want to snag a dress for under 20 quid? Here’s your chance!

Lovedrobe

Another favourite amongst our in-the-know plus-size pals, Lovedrobe creates flattering pieces from sizes 16 to 32. The online store takes inspiration from current trends so you’re able to confidently embrace the latest styles and colour combos. Aswell as their own website, you can also spot Lovedrobe on Navabi, Simply Be and Evans.

Forever21 Plus

The American brand relaunched their plus-size range last year to improve their product offering and ensure it caters to even more women (sizes go up to a 4x). Alongside brands like Boohoo and In The Style, Forever21 is one of the most affordable destinations on this list – perfect if you’re wanting to do some last minute retail therapy!

Navabi

Navabi

For a slightly more expensive option (you need to treat yourself every now and again, after all!), head to Navabi for a more luxurious take on plus-size fashion. They’ve collaborated with Ashley Graham on a lingerie line and plus-size influencers such as Bethany Rutter, so if you’re after clothes that have been specifically designed with curvier women in mind, Navabi’s your place.
