Thanks to the A-list headliners (in this years case, the one and only Beyoncé) and the fact it’s chock-full of major celebs, Coachella is now giving fashion week a run for its money in terms of street style. If you’re heading to a festival this year and have no idea what to wear, take a look at some of the trends we spotted at Coachella to give you a head start and ensure you’re the best dressed at the fest.
L – R: Jasmine Sanders and Ludi Delfino
Holding a clutch bag or having one constantly swinging from your shoulders is the last thing you want when throwing some shapes at a festival, so follow Jasmine and Ludi’s lead by investing in a belt bag. Everyone from H&M to Gucci are offering up their take on the accessory so you can keep your essentials safe, whatever your budget.
L – R: Kendall Jenner and Winnie Harlow
Coachella’s most popular trend definitely seemed to be the bralet. The midriff-baring garm was spotted on the likes of Kendall Jenner in her tomboy-esque look, Shay Mitchell, Romee Strijd and Winnie Harlow with a colour poppin’ lace version – showcasing its versatility.
L – R: Alessandra Ambrosio and Danielle Bernstein
No detail looks quite as good in motion as fringing does; as highlighted by former Victoria’s Secret Angel, Alessandra and Mega-influencer, Danielle. Do like the stylish duo by embracing the fringe via your sleeves or skirt – for a subtle take, opt for a fringed bag (you can double-up on trends like Ludi in a fringed belted one!).
L – R: Rihanna and Olivia Culpo
Never one to do anything by halves, Rihanna took the western trend to the extreme by wearing buckles all up the side of her legs. If you’re not a fashion extrovert like Riri, look to Olivia for a more toned down western-inspired outfit featuring boots and a hat in the same neutral colour palette.
