The AW18 fashion shows only came to a close this week, but users on Looker have been nailing some of the key trends spotted on the catwalk for a couple of weeks now. If you want to stay in the (fashion) know, keep an eye on some of these Looker users…
Check Mate in Versace
Clueless’ Cher Horowitz was an unlikely style icon this season with brands from Versace to Dior to Prada injecting check print into their designs. Do like Lookers Jess and pair your checkered two-piece with a band tee to take your outfit from preppy to smart-caj.
Logomania at Fendi
A slogan tee and ripped denim is the off-duty uniform of choice for uber cool girls like Alexa Chung and Behati Prinsloo, but give your logo tee a revamp by pairing with a bold print a lá Andrea. The patterned skirt and logo top combo were spotted on the Fendi runway with Karl Lagerfeld clearly hoping to take advantage of the logomania hype.
Colour-clash at Valentino
Colour-clashing was once considered one of the ultimate fashion faux-pas, but it’s now one of the easiest ways to add a modern twist to your look. Rather than opting for muted tones, go bold in ruby and fuchsia shades! Extra style points if you polish off your look with a subtle frill detail like iamnkirote.
Fakin’ the Fur at Sonia Rykiel
Whether you’re a glamourpuss like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley or prefer a Zoe Kravitz-esque rocker vibe, a faux fur jacket is a must. Steal Hannah’s style (and a look fresh from the Sonia Rykiel runway!) with a leather trim on your faux fur to freshen up the look.
Paco Rabanne’s Statement Sequins
A sequin mini is the perfect showstopper for a night out with the girls! Double up on trends like Mayah by layering over leather-look trousers or pair with bare legs and statement heels for a Paco Rabanne approved touch.
