Whether it’s a creamy cleanser, brand spanking new mascara or a face mask that promises to give us a Miranda Kerr-esque glow; we love experimenting with beauty products! One of the best feelings is finding one that does the job perfectly and comes in at under £10 – meaning both our skin and bank balance look healthier.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water – available at Superdrug
Bioderma’s Sensibio H20 Micelle Solution is a favourite backstage at fashion shows, but for a more budget friendly version opt for Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing Water. It’s perfect for refreshing your face post-workout or after a plane journey, they’re even available in 125ml bottles so you can easily slip one in your gym kit.
Maybelline Great Lash Mascara available at Fabled
This mascara is considered somewhat of a cult classic thanks to its ability to create natural and defined lashes at the click of your fingers. While Benefit, Dior and Charlotte Tilbury all offer great mascaras, you can usually snag Maybelline’s bestseller for around £5.
Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponges – available from Boots
How did we apply foundation, tinted moisturisers and/or concealer before beauty blenders?! The official Beauty Blender’s average at around £16 for one, so we usually go for Real Technique’s sponges where you can get two for under a tenner. We reckon they’re just as good as their official counterpart with make-up going on evenly with great coverage.
Soap & Glory Breakfast Scrub – available via Soap & Glory
Exfoliating our face is a regular part of our skincare regime, but a lot of people often neglect their body. This Soap & Glory scrub leaves our skin feeling silky smooth and like all of their products – smells unreal!
The Ordinary High-Adherence Silicone Primer – available via Feel Unique
The Ordinary was created to offer results-driven products at cost friendly prices, establishing firm fans in both beauty editors and us regular folk. Their silicone primer feels hydrating and our make-up didn’t budge all day after using it as our base – it’s a keeper!
Glossier Balm Dotcom – available at Glossier
Described by Glossier themselves as a ‘universal skin salve’ – we usually use it on lips, to keep stubborn brows in place and as the finishing touch to our eyeshadow to create a glossy lid. The balm comes in six flavours, from original to mint to birthday cake flavour; we can’t decide on a favourite!
Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask – available at Boots
When our skin’s in need of some extra TLC, a face mask is our go-to. Sheet masks are less messy than those that come out of a tube or pot which was an immediate plus but these also make our skin feel so hydrated and soft. At £2.99 a pop, what’s not to love?
Ardell Natural Demi Wispies Multipack – available via Amazon
If you’re a false eyelash novice, Demi Wispies are a great place to start as they create such a natural look so you won’t be thrown completely out of your comfort zone. The lashes increase in length as you get towards the outer corner, establishing the perfect flutter.
Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer – available via Tam Beauty
Tarte’s Shape Tape concealer is an industry favourite, but this £4 bargain is considered to be its best dupe; at a fraction of the price! It’s also easier to get your hands on as Tarte don’t currently have many UK stockists.
We love a bargain! Check out our blog post on our top high street knitwear finds to freshen up your cold-weather wardrobe.
