This project has been created as a chance for students from Manchester Fashion Institute to not only think critically but to be given the opportunity to test their ideas in a real business.
- Test the functionality.
- Look at the marketing channels we utilise, the tone and consistency of our brand message.
Build a project plan around how you would improve usability, increase engagement and dwell time on the platform.
Our key measure of success is to increase the userbase week by week and to increase the % of total users clicking ‘buy’ buttons on images.
The project plan should consider:
Customer Journey now VS recommendation with key measures for success (either through testing, customer research etc).
Current marketing channel assessment and what could be an untapped marketing opportunity (keeping in mind budget). Design and marketing opportunities.
Competitor analysis (other apps which support fashion shopping in-app utilising content eg. Lyst and ShopStyle.
Week beginning 20th November Looker will review all entries and pick a winner for the best proposal for developing the app.
The winning student will be awarded 3 days paid work in the office to implement their strategy proposal and test it for real. Over time, we will review and be able to gauge the proposal as a new technique for growing the business.
