Since bursting onto the celebrity scene in July last year, after her breakout role as the mysterious Eleven in Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown is proving that when it comes to style, the age limit does not exist.
From the daring buzz cut she sported to play Eleven (Charlize Theron in Mad Max vibes) to the covetable red-carpet outfits she’s worn to collect the numerous and well-deserved awards that just keep coming her way, it’s easy to see why the 13-year-old actress gives us all major style envy.
This week was no exception with Brown hitting the red carpet at the Teen Choice Awards, and, although she didn’t win this time, she definitely won Looker’s Best Dressed of the night award. Millie schooled us all in how to be cool in a bright yellow dress (Eggo waffle yellow perhaps) from Kenzo paired with colour blocked Pierre Hardy heels. The look was finished with tightly braided hair and some killer vintage sunglasses which gave the outfit a vintage John Lennon feel.
But how does she feel about being seen as a style icon at such a young age? Brown has previously told Vogue she ‘loves fashion but hates shopping’ and that her mum chooses her outfits because ‘if it was my choice, I’d come in my tracksuit’. Well Millie with style like yours girl, we’re sure that you could even make any old tracksuit look high fashion, and uh, could you pass our number over to your mum? We’d love her to take us shopping.
