Whilst colour trends come and go red always makes an appearance, season after season. Our Lookers are no stranger to the trend and you only have to take a quick look at the app to see that we’re in a full-on red resurgence…

The beauty of red is that there are so many shades you’re almost guaranteed to find one to suit you. Burgundy is a great alternative if brighter shades aren’t for you as it’s flattering to almost all skin tones.
Looker Katie shows how a deeper tone can look just as striking in this H&M blazer and shorts co-ord, whereas if brighter shades are more your thing take style inspo from Iga (above) who’s looking picture perfect in this scarlet dress available from Faithfull The Brand.
If you’re not afraid of colour, have never been afraid of colour and never will be afraid of colour then you no doubt already own loads of red so making a big statement in it should come naturally however for your next most-talked about outfit why not pair red with an equally striking colour or print? Abimbola (above) shows us that colour with colour can look amazing without looking like overkill in this red trousers and yellow print top combo. Winner. Florals are always on trend for summer and Rea (below) combines classic red with a statement floral print to combine two trends in one outfit. If full on red really isn’t for you then why not introduce it into your wardrobe in smaller doses? Red accessories are the ideal way to brighten up more muted tones and add a splash of colour on those summer days that aren’t so summery. Tee’s red shoes and bag complement her khaki culottes perfectly for a fresh take on a summer staple – a great way to jump on the red trend without going too far out of your comfort zone.
So go on, with style inspo as good as this you might as well be known as the ‘Lady in Red’ (if you don’t know the song, ask your mum).
